Card of the day: who are we drawing for?

One card for today. Kyra Ourania draws it with her morning coffee.

Whatever people call you. Nicknames are fine here.

Your name, topic and anything you write stay on your device. We don’t send them anywhere.

How does the tarot card of the day work?

The card of the day is the simplest draw in tarot. In the morning, before you start, you draw one card and keep it in mind all day. It doesn’t predict what will happen, it gives you something to pay attention to.

Here you draw it from Kyra Ourania’s virtual deck, the 22 Major Arcana of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot. The card stays the same until midnight, just as it would on your own table. It’s for fun, not a prediction.

How do you use the card of the day?

Draw it in the morning, with your first coffee, before the day takes over. Read what it says and keep one word from it: “patience”, “courage”, “clearing out”. As the day goes on, you’ll see where it fits. In the evening, look back: was it there? That’s also how you learn the card meanings without studying.

Why does the card stay the same all day?

Because one day has one message. If you kept drawing until you got something you liked, the card wouldn’t tell you anything. So with the same name you get the same card until midnight. After that you draw a new one for the new day.

Is the tarot card of the day the same for everyone?
No. Everyone draws their own card, with their own name. Yours stays the same until midnight, and your best friend’s card is another story.
Why is it the same card all day?
Because it’s the card of the day. If it changed every time you asked, it would be the card of the hour.
When does it change?
At midnight. After that you draw a new one for the new day.
What do I do with the card?
Keep it in mind as the day goes on. If it says patience, have a little. If it says courage, take a small risk. Kyra Ourania covers the rest.
Do you keep my name?
No. Your name stays on your device, together with your card of the day. The server only counts how many readings were done.
