Coffee cup reading: whose cup is it?
Kyra Ourania needs a name and what’s on your mind. She’ll see the rest in the cup.
How a coffee reading works online
At home, you drink your Greek coffee, make a wish and turn the cup upside down onto the saucer. When it dries, the reader lifts it and reads the shapes the grounds left behind: whatever is near the rim is coming soon, whatever is at the bottom belongs to the past, and next to the handle is your home. At the end you press your thumb into the bottom for your wish.
Here it works the same way, with a virtual cup. You don’t upload a photo and nothing is sent anywhere. The symbols come out at random every time, like real grounds, so no two cups ever say exactly the same thing.
- Is it different every time?
- Yes. The symbols, where they sit in the cup and what Kyra Ourania says about them change with every cup.
- Can I read someone else’s coffee?
- Yes. Enter their name and pick what’s on their mind.
- Do you keep my name?
- No. Your name and topic stay on your device. The server only counts how many cups we’ve read.
